My Education Background
Mark began his career as an EMT-Basic in 1986. In 1992, he became an EMS Instructor for Paramedic level education programs. Along with this came his education in teaching CPR, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, GEMS, AMLS, and PEPP. Mark has a 10 year background as a Police Officer where he worked as a Tactical Paramedic on the SWAT Team. One of the things he likes to incorportate into his classes is his black belt in TaeKwonDo. As part of the Paramedic program students are taught to defense techniques to help them cope if they run into compromising situations while working on squad.
My EMS Background
Mark became an EMT-Basic and Firefighter in 1986. In 1988, he became a Nationally Registered Paramedic and was later hired to work for Lakewood EMS in 1990. In 1999, Mark began his career as a Flight Paramedic/Base Supervisor with University Hospitals MedEvac. His experience encompases Emergency Medical Care, Personal Safety and self defense, Crisis Management, Critical Care Transport, and Pre-Hospital Education.
